F.A.I.T.H. Evangelism Strategy

FAITH is an evangelism training strategy and system linked directly to the ongoing work of the Church School. FAITH teaches a simple but effective gospel presentation, based on the acrostic "FAITH" while providing the structure for Church School classes to care for their members and visitors. It provides ways to determine and meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the people God has entrusted to us as a church and specifically as a Church School. The Great Commission gives us a command, not a suggestion, to be deliberate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. It says to GO!

So how does FAITH work? In the past evangelism strategies have been separate from Church School or have relied on a hit or miss approach by individual classes. FAITH unites evangelism and Church School and eliminates the hit or miss approach. Our goal is for each Church School class to have a three person team consisting of leaders or members from their class. These teams will visit people in their age group who have visited their class or the worship service. This is ideal because there will be areas of common interest that help build rapport and give meaning to the visit.

The most important aspect of FAITH is that when a person is visited they are not only welcomed and invited to return to the church, they are asked the most important question of their life; one that shows the greatest concern we can have for another person; "In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to go to heaven?" Based on their response, they will be given an opportunity to hear the gospel and accept it.
